Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) is all set to
launch the much-awaited Unicorn 160 in India on December 18, 2014. The
company has, in fact, started dispatching the bikes to its dealerships
across the nation and some dealers have also started taking pre-orders
for the 160cc bike. Expected to be priced around Rs. 65,000 - Rs. 70,000, the CB Unicorn 160 will take on the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer and TVS Apache RTR 160.
Sharing its design and components with the CB Trigger, the new model of the bike will feature a more contemporary design. The bike will feature a muscular tank with shrouds accommodating the 3-D Honda logo. The three fins on the side panels look quite identical to the two fins found on the CB Trigger. The bike also shares the pillion footrests with the Trigger.
The rear-end of the new 160cc bike looks completely new with the 'H' design tail-lamp and an LED unit. Some features, including the switch gear, handles, digital instrument cluster etc., too look similar to the ones found on the CB Trigger. Powering the bike will be a 160cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is good for 14bhp.
